Before
If you had met me years ago, you would have seen a successful orthodontist. A husband. A father. An athlete. A man who looked like he had built a beautiful life.
From the outside, it looked like I had it figured out. The work, the family, the routines that told everyone — including me — that I was fine. I was good at looking fine.
But there was a distance between the life I was living and the man living it. I could perform the days. I just couldn't feel most of them.
